Locating New Inquiries Made Easier For Business Communications LLC

Since joining the Tejari network in 2004, BCL has experienced the many advantages of switching to the modern and innovative way of running their business online. “Locating new inquiries from buyers and submission of bids to tenders was made easier and faster with Tejari’s online marketplace. There is less paperwork and greater time savings”, comments Mr. T.A. Ashokan, Senior Divisional Manager of BCL.

Business Communications LLC (BCL) is a major force in the Middle East region, providing complex computer-based systems and hi-tech equipment for information technology, audio/visual, communication, educational, analytical and e-business applications.

BCL was formed in 1976 as a joint venture with Cable and Wireless Ltd, UK, and BCL became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dutco Tennant, the Dutco Group's principal trading operation in 1985. Its clients benefit from the company's sales and service team of specialist engineers that are supported by internationally-renowned suppliers.

BCL provides Tejari Members with a complete range of equipment for analytical, environmental, educational and forensic laboratories; material testing and surveying equipment; medical, test and measurement instruments; library furniture; and sports and leisure equipment.

Many of BCL’s products are available ex-stock with an after-sales service backed up by fully-equipped state-of-the-art service facilities manned by factory-trained engineers. Repair, maintenance and calibration services are also available.

BCL offers applicable and complete equipment solutions that reflect its deep understanding of the products it handles and the ever-changing needs that its customers face. Its well-equipped workshop facilities have constantly adapted to the rapid changes in technology, thereby ensuring that every new product it handles is fully supported.

Originally, BCL joined Tejari’s network to participate in tenders initiated by The Dubai Municipality. In fact, one of BCL’s biggest successful tenders, with a total volume of 750,000 AED, involved supplying a Raman Spectrometer to the GEM Lab of The Dubai Municipality in 2002.

In 2008, BCL participated in 55 tenders via Tejari’s marketplace, with a total volume of more than $370,000 USD. BCL currently takes part in over four large tenders each month, on average. To support this level of activity, Dutco, Dutco Tenant and BCL have each created extensive virtual showrooms where most of the products showcased are categorized, listed with specifications, and display photographs. This attention to detail provides prospective buyers with the perfect opportunity to review and purchase BCL’s quality products and services online and in a straightforward manner.

“Today, with the support of Tejari’s platform, we save a lot of time and effort compared to the old way of manually submitting offers”, adds Mr. T.A. Ashokan. He goes on to say that: “With Tejari’s online marketplace we see even more areas for improvement from a technical point of view. We expect that this online marketplace will become even more developed in the future, so we will have the opportunity to achieve even better results”.
